11 Months Old!

Hello Friends and Family,
I am 11 months old!  This month I've learned so much and have grown so big.  Here are this month's highlights:
  • I have the promise of 4 teeth although they are not all completely in yet, but they have broken through the gums.  This is progress!  My new teeth make me look different and changed my smile, but I'm still one handsome guy.  I like to give a silly grin in which I wrinkle up my nose to display my new chewing devices.
  • I am about to complete my second session of swim classes.  I am a splashing fool.  I think my instructor, Brian, is so silly.  He and Mommy help me glide on my tummy and on my back.  We are working on kicking, splashing, blowing bubbles and reaching. My favorite part of class is singing songs and flirting with the girls in class.  I give high fives after class and wave bye bye.
  • I am still crawling with increased speed and cruising with improved confidence.  Although I'm not standing on my own or walking yet, I am moving in that direction.
  • I have learned to pick up pieces of food and feed myself.  I don't eat baby food anymore.  I eat mostly table food and what Mommy and Daddy are eating.  Yummy!  I use sippy cups without handles, drink a little juice, and enjoy lots of fruits and veggies.  My latest meal is the Kung Pow Chicken that Daddy made.
  • My favorite hobbies include - rolling objects and chasing them, banging objects together, knocking down block towers, banging on the back door for the dogs to come in, giggling loudly to get people's attention, playing with empty boxes and bottles, riding on Daddy's shoulders and looking at my books.
  • I take 2 naps each day and sleep great at night.
  • I weight 20 pounds and 13 ounces and I'm 29 inches long.
  • I wear 12 or 12-18 month clothing.
  • I love cars and anything with wheels.
  • Rolling a ball to Bella and Tank is a fun game to play!
Here are some pictures from the last month.  Next time I write, I will be 1 year old!

10 Months Old

I'd like to start my 10 month blog by saying that it's not my fault  that I'm late with this post.  Mommy has been really busy and she won't let me touch her MacBook to type it myself.  I'm not sure why she doesn't trust me with expensive electronics.

Uncle Luke, Aunt Stephenie, Finn, Sylvie, Aunt Heidi, Aunt Janet, Uncle Charlie and my Great Oma came to OKC to celebrate Luke and Stephenie's marriage and for my cousin Sylvie's baptism.  What fun we had!  Mommy also finished her job as the School Coordinator and Co Director of the Oklahoma City Memorial Kids Marathon for 2012.  We have been busy people!

Here are a few things I've learned in the past month:

  • If you want to make a room full of group ups look silly, do "SO BIG!"  It works every time.  Those big people will do anything for entertainment.  My Oma and Opa sure think this is a hoot.
  • Babbling continuously in a loud voice entices people to babble back to you.  I love to say mama, dada, abba, my own variation of Bella, and bye bye.  Sometimes Bella runs past me real quick and gives me a lick.  GP calls this a drive by and I like to try to say drive by.
  • I can now cruise from one piece of furniture to another.  This skill causes Aunt Jo, Aunt Harriet, and Uncle Joel to applaud.  Note to self - I must do this more often to get attention.
  • I can crawl really fast to get what I want and explore.  Current things that fascinate me are:  the TV stand, toilet paper, flushing the toilet, putting the toilet seat down (which is more fun to attempt when someone is on the toilet), anything that rolls that I can push around the floor, cars or anything with wheels, and snacks.
  • I love to eat!  Mommy and Daddy have started giving me most anything I want including chili, Oma's minestrone, and of course GM and GP give me lots of Kix.  My favorite breakfast is blueberry yogurt.  Lentil soup is delicious too!
  • I love an audience to show off my skills to.  I'm such a sweet baby with bright blue eyes and a smile that could melt your heart (so I've been told by my adoring fans).
  • I am curious, active, adventurous, and loving.  My giggles and smiles are infectious.
BIG NEWS ALERT:  I'm getting a tooth!  It's broken through the gum and it's on the top off to the side.

In other news, I finished Level 1 Parent and Child swim class and will move into Level 2.  I love to splash, kick, and sing in the water with my swim friends.  I have no fear of sticking my face in the water.  I babble to the other kids during class and I always wave bye bye to my classmates.

That's all for now.  Here are some pictures from the last month:
